The WEF names seven skills that matter most during a digital disruption:<em> communication, urgency, collaboration, credibility, fearlessness, a strategic mindset, and empathy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>These connect directly to AI adoption work.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6fd23e6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6fd23e6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What To Focus On...<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5aca338 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5aca338\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ol><li data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1325\"><strong data-start=\"1037\" data-end=\"1086\">Communicate like a coach<\/strong><br data-start=\"1086\" data-end=\"1089\" \/>State the goal in one sentence. Name who decides what, and share how you will check quality each week. Keep words short. Invite questions in writing and live. Tie every update to the same three metrics.<\/li><li data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1576\"><strong data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1364\">Act with urgency, then adjust as you go<\/strong><br data-start=\"1364\" data-end=\"1367\" \/>Set a two-week sprint to test one workflow change. Make the \u201cnearly right, but now\u201d call when data is incomplete. Log the choice. Review outcomes on Friday and pivot fast.<\/li><li data-start=\"1578\" data-end=\"1840\"><strong data-start=\"1578\" data-end=\"1611\">Build a cross-role huddle<\/strong><br data-start=\"1611\" data-end=\"1614\" \/>Put product, ops, legal, and HR in one small team and give them one outcome and clear guardrails. Ask them to surface risks early and share wins widely, while treating \u201cnever on your own\u201d as the rule.<\/li><li data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"2109\"><strong data-start=\"1842\" data-end=\"1884\">Earn credibility with simple proof<\/strong><br data-start=\"1884\" data-end=\"1887\" \/>Publish the plan, milestones, and a short risk register. Track cycle time, error rate, and user effort weekly. When something doesn&#8217;t go right, name it. People follow leaders who keep promises, so be that leader.<\/li><li data-start=\"2111\" data-end=\"2368\"><strong data-start=\"2111\" data-end=\"2153\">Model fearlessness<\/strong><br data-start=\"2153\" data-end=\"2156\" \/>Name the hard trade-off out loud, and protect your team from any pressure. Hold a short \u201chere&#8217;s what we tried\/here&#8217;s what we learned\u201d review after each sprint. Research shows that optimism is contagious when leaders protect their people.<\/li><li data-start=\"2370\" data-end=\"2609\"><strong data-start=\"2370\" data-end=\"2408\">Stay strategic while you cut back<\/strong><br data-start=\"2408\" data-end=\"2411\" \/>Show the big picture and the next inch. Remove one meeting, one report, or one rule each week that slows the path. Complexity decreases when leaders cut things that are unnecessary.<\/li><li data-start=\"2611\" data-end=\"2864\"><strong data-start=\"2611\" data-end=\"2648\">Lead with empathy you can see<\/strong><br data-start=\"2648\" data-end=\"2651\" \/>Ask, \u201cWhat feels hard right now?\u201d Listen (actively) for fear, workload, or skill gaps. Pair any new tool with coaching and a safe way to flag mistakes.
